Today’s digi world topic is about communication. I love receiving newsletters from various designers and stores in the digi community — ’cause then I don’t have to remember to go to the store to check out the new stuff, lol! It’s all right there, in my inbox. And, though I’m still a newbie to Facebook, I like checking out my favorite designers’ fan pages.

If you’re a forever fan of SuzyQ Scraps, you might have noticed that my newsletter received a face-lift last week. I’m excited for the more professional format, and all the options I have through Constant Contact (my email newsletter provider). Like being able to create newsletters for different interests. I’ve been wanting to create a birthday club (you know, like Cold Stone and Baskin Robbins do, and you get free ice cream) and now I can! But you have to be a newsletter subscriber!

Why receive my newsletter, when you already come to the blog? Well, I’m going to give you 3 reasons to either sign up for my newsletter, or update your preferences.

Reason #1: I’ll be randomly drawing one email from my list of contacts. The winner will be chosen at the end of the month and will receive a $20 one-time-use coupon to my store!!!

Reason #2: Sign up for the Birthday Club newsletter, and at the beginning of the month, I’ll send you a FAB coupon that will allow you to choose a kit of your choice for FREE! That’s right, one kit THAT YOU PICK, absolutely free. Coldstone lets you pick what ice cream you want, so I should let you pick the kit, right? Of course!

Reason #3: Each week when I send out my newsletter, I will be including either an exclusive discount coupon OR an exclusive freebie that you can’t get anywhere else.

Are you convinced? YAY! See that ugly link in my sidebar, the one that says Sign Up for Our Email Newsletter with the dorky icon? Yeah, I know, totally gross and yes, I’ll be making it all pretty sometime. But for now, that is the gateway to my newsletter. Click on it. Yes, even if you’re already a subscriber.

Type your email address in the box — if you’re new, this is the email you want the newsletter sent to; if you’re already a subscriber, this is the email where you’re currently receiving my newsletter. Then click submit.

Now, if you’re already a subscriber, you’ll be prompted to retype your email address. And then you’ll be emailed a link to update your profile. After you click on the link, you’ll be at the same place as the new subscribers:

Make sure both boxes are checked if you want to receive both newsletters. And you’ll need to fill out your name and your birth month. I don’t need to know the date or year — just the month.

Voila! You are finished with that. Now you’re in the drawing for a $20 coupon to my store, and you’ll be receiving a free kit from me during the month of your birthday (starting with the new year). Yay!

Perhaps you noticed that lots of designers are creating Facebook fan pages. Mine has been in the works for a while, but I’ve been too busy designing products to finish it up.
