Well I’m happy to say we have a couple more SQScrappers than just the one this week Thank you for playing ladies

First up is ‘Flying With Dumbo’ by quietangelsb over at Scrap matters. She used & recoloured a date stamp from one of SuzyQ’s new products from the Life’s Journey Collection that she won by being a previous SQScrapper – the stamp is from ‘Mark The Date Vol. 1′ – coming soon to Polka Dot Plum!!

Next up is a page by Amber565 at Ginger Scraps – she used two products (both from the new collection) that are coming soon that she won from a contest here on the blog The patterned papers are from ‘{Pink & Black} Backs’ & the alpha is the ‘Distressed Out Alpha’.

And finally we have ‘A Girl’s Best Friend’ by lorryfach – also at Ginger Scraps. She used some of SuzyQ’s Acrylibet alphas (retired).

Check out the fab LO’s my QT’s did for the 2nd challenge in DSA’s Battle of the Creative Teams! The theme this week was “I’ve Got Rhythm.” Each team had to incorporate the same musical theme in their layouts. The QT’s chose the song “I Hope You Dance” and used it as a dedication in their LO’s.

Hey Everybody!  This is Melissa and this is my first blog post.  I know I’m a little late, ok a lot late since Thursday is almost over, but I have a five sneak peaks to show you so that should make up for it.  Suzy has got some great kits coming out when Polka Dot Plum opens.  The sneak peaks today are from a collection that Suzy has  been working on to help you scrap your everyday stuff whether you are actively doing a Project 365 or just need to scrap that photo of the kids playing in the yard.  This collection is great because you can mix and match to heart’s content.

Us QT’s have been hard at work on layouts with this collection and we can’t wait for the opening of Polka Dot Plum so we can show you what we’ve been up to.  Have a great night!

Its another Wednesday! And I know I haven’t posted in a while, had a real experience of both my internet connections & laptop being crappy.. Anyone miss me? LOL! But, enough about me. The spotlight is now on our CT Leader, sweet Miss Ellie..

Miss Ellie, aka Ellie80 in the digi scrapping world is the ‘fairy godmother to all of you who submits LO pages using SuzyQ products. She is the QT behind SQ Scrappers posts, the one who grants your $10-worth-of-SuzyQ-products wish. LOL! Want to get to know her? Then this is your chance.

1. Tell us something about you, and your family? Are you studying, working, married, with children, where you are from, etc.

~ I’m 28, married for 6 years with 2 children (Caitlyn age 3 & Zachary 20mths) & we live in a small town where I was born on the south east coast of England. I’m currently a stay at home Mummy but may be returning to work part time in September 2010

2. What/Who introduced you to digi scrapping? How did you started doing digi?

~ When I was pregnant with Zach I started paper scrapping, but nearer the time of his due date it was basically my scrapping desk in our bedroom or his cot – we didn’t have room for both! Needless to say my desk & supplies were put away. I stumbled upon digi scrapping by chance! It was a search engine that lead me to a site called ScrapGirls and the rest as they is history!!!

3. How long have you been scrapping/digi scrapping?

~ I was only paper scrapping for about 6 mths but I’ve been digi scrapping since January 2008

4. Favorite elements you like to put on your page; Favorite color/s to work on; Favorite style of scrapping (white space, ad type, linear, etc..) techniques you like to do; Favorite SuzyQ kit/s you have used.. Favorite project you have done (scrapping related)

~ Favourite elements…hmmm…I love string (although I don’t always know how to use it LOL I also love buttons. As for colours that’s a tough one…because I have a boy & girl I can scrap with pretty much anything but I suppose my favourites are blue, brown, pink, deep yellow (not necessarily in the same kit though LOL). As for my scrapping style, I find white space very easy but clustering harder – I’m trying to cluster more on my pages at the moment to make them more interesting. I love working on my shadows – I try to get them looking as real as possible – sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t LOL but love shadowing string & flowers as I can customize them more happy My favourite SuzyQ kit…now that is tough!! Do I really have to pick just one???? Well then I suppose it would be ‘In The Farmyard’. It has some cute lil’ animals in it & I love the colours which leads me onto ONE of my favourite pages which is this:

5. Can you show us your favorite layout you have done using Suzy’s product; First digi layout you’ve done.

~ My favourite pages are above.

~ My first did LO? Wow that’s embarrasing LOL I can’t even remember what it was!! One of my first page with credits *blush* was this:

6. Ever want to also design someday? Who is/are your favorite designer(s)?

~ I would like to design but not kits LOL I’m an alpha, wordart & add-on kinda gal. In fact, I’ve just finished making my very first alpha

7. 3 Random facts about you you might want to share.

~ Hmmm….

• I had an extra finger when I was born (yeah gross I know) I haven’t got it now though – just a bump on the side of my left hand.
• I was the only girl in my computer course at college – yeah great surrounded by boys – NOT!!!
• I am obsessed with the Twilight Saga books by Stephanie Meyer

8. Which is more sexy, boxer or brief?

~ Oh definitely boxers – especially the tighter ones LMBO

Similar to Meghann’s scavenger hunt, you will need to head over to the SuzyQ Scraps Gallery and hunt for a few different things. I am going to give you a list of things to search for in the layouts. There may be more than one layout that has the required item on the list, but you only need to choose one. When you have found all 15 items, send me an email with the links to all the different LOs. Here’s what you need to find (it can be a word on the page, an element on the page, a part of the picture, etc):

She entered a challenge to do an Independance Day LO but without using the colours red, white or blue! Here’s what she came up with using SuzyQ’s kit ‘Sparklers’ – I think it’s a fantastic page! ‘Sparklers’ is a freebie kit that you can snag from another post here but be quick as the links will be taken down soon

Next up is a page from quietangelsb from Scrap Matters named ‘Meeting Mickey’. She used a paper & ribons from the kit ‘Tale As Old As Time’ which was a collab between SuzyQ & Britt-ish Designs – we’re big Mickey fans in our house so I LOVE this page. I think the journaling is great – definitely a memory to treasure! 

The 3rd page I have for you today is ‘In Honor Of Daddy’ by TNgal22. She used the awesome kit ‘Not Forgotten’ by SuzyQ – This is one of my favourite kits & I love the composition of this page
