Want to spend more time making memories & less time scrapbooking? Want to scrapbook more pages in the short amount of time you can devote to scrapbooking? Want to just simplify the overall process?
Here are 3 tips to help you scrapbook more simply!
1. Get back to the basics. Focus on the essentials — the photo(s) & the story. Add a background and a few embellishments. Really, it’s okay to create simple (and still beautiful!) pages.
2. Use a template or sketch. Jump-start your page design with a little help — that’s okay too! Search for free sketches or buy a book. Digital? Find a designer you like by sampling one of their free downloads. Then invest in a few templates. (Learn how to stretch those templates with the Topsy Turvy Templates ebook.)
3. Evaluate your expectations. How many hours each week do you really have for scrapbooking? Schedule it so it happens. How many pages are you attempting to create each week? Maybe you could cut back. How many layers are you trying to add to your layout? Maybe you could cut back on that too. Zero in on the why behind your scrapbooking and see if that helps you create more realistic expectations for yourself.
