Page design tips from Amber: “By using a cluster frame and stacked background from the Memories & Moments Spring Jump-Starts I was able to create this page in less than 20 minutes, and the majority of that was spent editing the pictures. My photos were taken in bright sunlight and the colors were too vivid and clashing with the color palette. I used a slightly vintage style action to make my photos more cohesive. A simple title & date top off the page. Not every page needs a lot of journaling. There was nothing remarkable about this day — just my kids playing in the sprinkler — but the pictures are worth preserving!”

Storytelling tip from Jaime: “I’ve been wanting to get this story down on paper for awhile, so I wouldn’t forget. However, because it is such a special moment to me I worried about scrapping it the ‘wrong way’. Once I saw these photos, even though they are not directly related to the details of the story – I knew I could combine my words with these photos to show and share how my son felt and acted as we got ready to welcome a new baby into our life. The colors of the kit allowed me to match the photos and tell the sweet story of our Baby Paige and his Baby Addison.”

Journaling tip from Britanee: “I haven’t been able to scrap these pictures because I didn’t know what story to tell. I have to journal on every page & I just didn’t know what to write down. I didn’t have a kit really jump out at me either so it’s been left … for almost 2 years. Looking through my pictures to try to find something to use for Suzy, I stumbled upon these. While looking at them, I remembered the day pretty vividly and the transition we were in with our newborn. I decided to start writing down my thoughts. The pictures, to me, actually became the accessory to the journaling (instead of the other way around). When I got to the title, I was stuck again until I re-read the journaling. How old she was (11 days) popped out to me & seemed like a good fit. I didn’t need another “lola,” “baby,” “sweet,” etc. title so this just fit for me.”

Page design tips from Shannon: “I’ve been doing a lot of scrapping lately catching up on my 2012 family album. My layouts were all starting to look the same so I was so happy to see Suzy’s new Spring Collection and the Spring Jump-Starts! The border down the right side of my page and the journal cluster were included in the Jump-Starts so this layout took me all of 10 minutes to complete. After choosing a background paper and placing my photos I added a few elements, my journaling and date and I was done! These Jump-Starts were just what I needed to give me a little boost.”

I’m very very very curious what font Jaime used for the and and ampersand on her layout. I can’t seem to find her original layout anywhere to see if the supply list mentions it. thanks in advance for any help you can offer Suzy!
Good question! Jaime used a font called Splendid 66. Hope that helps!
Beautiful kit; I love the colors. The sample pages are gorgeous, too. Thanks for the freebie!
Thank you, Pam! And you’re welcome!
