“Where do I put the journaling?”
Sometimes, it isn’t what words to write but where to put them that keeps scrapbookers from journaling at all.
Have you tried a journal card? (or other journaling embellishment, like a journal bracket or label, etc.?)
Step 1: Place it in a visually pleasing place on the page. I like to tuck it behind some of the layers — sometimes just a little, other times I leave just a bit peeking out.
Step 2: Journal on the card. I like to drag out a text box that fits the size of the journal card, & then start typing.
Sometimes solving the “where” removes the resistance to journaling. Now you have a place to put the words, & a defined space so you know how many (or how few) words you really need.
Want to give this technique a try? Shannon created a set of fun digital journal cards for you, from the Taste of Luck kit, so you can try it out.
