I prefer to scrap out-of-order … meaning I don’t scrap chronologically, I scrap what I feel like scrapping. Which means when I receive a stack of printed layouts from Persnickety Prints, I have pages for albums as far back as 2007. I organize my albums by year, and generally I can tell from the picture what year the layout belongs to. However, when I try to peg its exact placement, if I’ve forgotten to record the date on the page, I find myself having to dig thru my photo files trying to make sure I put the event in the right location. So much easier if I just remember to add the date.
I thought I’d share with you a few visual examples from the QTs to spark some ideas for adding dates to your pages — can you spot the dates in these layouts?
What’s your favorite way to “save the date” on your scrapbook pages? I’d love to see, so link me up in the comments.
Keep smiling!

thanks for this post (I came via Katie at TheDailyDigi). I loved the LO’s and the dating ideas shown so beautifully here.
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing. I nearly ALWAYS date my pages … but it’s fun to see ideas other people incorporate into their pages! (FYI I’m here via Katie at TheDailyDigi too!)
thanks for sharing the creative additions of dates within the LO! I need to do that more often – and seeing the creative ways – inspires me.
