Meet QT Sara plus a Challenge {FREEBIE ALERT}

I am super excited to introduce you to this month’s SuzyQ QT!  This is our first time to spotlight one of SuzyQ Scraps’ hybrid artists!  Can you feel the excitement?  Prepared to be inspired!

Are you married/have children/pets? John & I will have been married for 16 years at the end of April – we’ve already planned to renew our vows on a beautiful beach somewhere to celebrate our 25th, as we figured our son Alex will have hopefully outgrown his habit of waking at 6am each morning by then!!!  Alex is a gorgeous, very bouncy 8 year old, who loves Lego, anything to do with cars & playing with numbers.

Where is home for you? I live in Surrey in the south of England, though I’d rather be back up North where I originally come from.

Snacks….Salty or Sweet? Can I have both?

Beverage of choice? A cup of tea (hey, I’m British!) or a cold glass of Pepsi Max please.

PC or Mac? PC – I love my pink laptop.

How long have you been digi-scrapping? I’ve been using digi supplies to make hybrid goodies for 3 years-ish.  I rarely do LO’s, as the minute I try to introduce a photo, any inspiration or mojo I possess disappears, even when using templates. Maybe I need to practise more.

How did you get into digi-scrapping? I started using digi supplies almost from the moment I made my first card in 2008 – I was given a card kit, and though I liked the process of making the card I thought the designs were rather uninspiring.  I went wandering on the internet and got hooked!  It really appeals that the designs/ kits I play with are in unlimited supply on my hard-drive, and that I can cut ‘n paste to my hearts content to make something uniquely mine.

What is your favourite SuzyQ Scraps kit? I l-o-v-e her range of digital stamps, particularly the oopsie-doodle style ones.  Suzy recently released a wonderful kit called Bug Collectin’ which I think is my favourite kit to date – the colours are just so vibrant & fun.

What is the most challenging part of scrapbooking for you? I tend to look at a preview from a kit & get ideas brewing right away – but sometimes when I actually open the kit, what I thought would work just won’t when I start playing about.  …also not having the right supplies to hand can be really frustrating – knowing that the treat bag or card would look just how I imagined if I had ribbon in this colour, or a few buttons in this style. Thats when I have to be careful not to go spending too much & relook at my design instead!

If you could be any digital scrap product what would it be? Humm… I’d be a doodled swirl

What are your favourite movies/TV shows? I look forward to watching Castle & True Blood during the week, and any fast moving, not-too-weepy movie at the weekend! I’m a bit of a Sci-Fi addict too.  Oh, and if the BBC have a new costume drama or Jane Austin adaptation on, I’m there every Sunday night to watch it.

What is something unique about you? Once upon a time, a long time ago, I was a biomedical research scientist – the most fulfilling career I ever had, which I left to go with DH to live in Denmark for 18 months.

It is so nice to get to know more about the person behind the creative goodies we see!  I dont’ know about anyone else but Hybrid projects amaze me and Sara’s creations always inspire me so I want to share some with you!  All these are linked to her Scrap Orchard Gallery so please click on one to go leave her some well deserved love.
