A Challenging Challenge This Month

Since this month is a little over half way done, I’d like to remind everyone of the monthly challenge we’re hosting this month.  This is a great way to get some layouts/projects done that you might not otherwise do, earning a 25% off coupon just for participating, and having an awesome chance at winning a $10 off coupon to SuzyQ Scrap’s store. As of right now, no one has entered so the odds look pretty good for someone to walk away with the grand prize!

This month we are challenging you to scrap a digital scrapbooking layout about something you struggle with, or a hybrid journal to record those thoughts and feelings. This can be anything such as things you’re struggling with right now, bad habits you can’t kick, the one thing you’ve been struggling with since childhood, etc. We also want you to really get some good journaling on your page too, so try for 10 lines of text. Sometimes things you are struggling with don’t have pictures to go along with them and that’s ok! No pictures required, but you’re free to them if you want! Since these types of layouts may not be the happiest parts of your life it’s fitting to use a dark color palette, so use predominantly dark or bold colors. And just for fun, try to incorporate a repeating theme somewhere – like the same type of element used over and over again, or repetition in your journaling, etc.

Be sure to post a link to your layout (or hybrid journal) in the comments of the original April Challenge post. They won’t count from this post!  The original post has some great examples in it, but I also created a page dealing with something I’m currently struggling with. I hope it can inspire you to create your own page!

You only have until April 30th at 11:59 PM EST to enter your layout or journal, so get to work!
