Fall has definitely showed it’s face in my part of the world. With the cooler air, have come thoughts about Halloween and planning for treats and school parties. I enjoy packaging treats for the kids and school functions in fun ways.
One fun way I have found are treat bag toppers, based on packaging of lots of things that you buy every day! When stapled over the top of a zip top sandwich bag, these toppers make a cute, inexpensive way to dress up treats
Here is a Halloween one I am using to give treats out. I put this one together using Suzy’s Halloween kit Too Cute To Spook

Our kids don’t get to have Halloween Parties at school, but rather they have Fall Parties, so I used Suzy’s Fallin’ Into Fun Kit for this one for school parties.

Want to make your own treat toppers? Download a very simple template HERE.
All you have to do is decorate the first side, rotate the canvas 180 degrees and decorate the second side. It is important that if you are using global light shadows, you merge all the layers of one side before rotating to work on the second side because your shadows will change when you rotate. After you have created the topper, print it and trim it. If you cut along the edge of your design the topper with be a perfect fit for sandwich and snack sized bags. Fold the topper in half and staple over the top of the the bag.
These toppers are perfect for Trick or Treaters, school parties, birthday party goody bags and many other things!!
